This is a wonderful book and the illustrations are vivid and beautiful. I also enjoyed seeing Septimus all grownup and how he deals with being in charge. I started to read this book, but in the back of my head I thought it would be about excuses. I would have preferred footnotes to what they did here. By providing her stories in this multiple portion format, Stephanie allows herself to truly develop her characters without boring us with poorly written material that many spanking authors provide for no other reason than to just expand the length of their story (In my opinion).
