The 2015book features the second edition of the MetroEquality Index, ranking approximately 70 metroareas based on unemployment and incomeequality for Blacks and Hispanics.This year, new to the Equality Index is aspecial feature on state-level racial and ethnicdisparities in K–12 education that documentsthe extent of Black–White and Hispanic–Whiteachievement gaps in all 50 states across thecountry and the District of Columbia.
